When does online registration close?
Online registration closes on Friday, August 4th at 5:00pm. HOWEVER, We do have day-of registration on the morning of the walk starting at 8:00am.
What do I need to Check-In at the event?
A photo ID a waiver. Waivers will be available on site when picking up your packet.
What time does the event start and end?
The event starts on August 5, 2017 at 8:00am and ends at 11:00am. Registration opens at 8:00am. The opening ceremony begins at 8:15am. The walk starts at 8:30am. The closing ceremony (after the walk) begins at 10:00am and the festivities end 11:00am.We are committed to supporting our homeless neighbors in need, rain or shine!
Where do I park?
All surrounding parking lots will be open on the day of the event. There are 75 parking spaces in the immediate lot for Embarcadero Marina Park South, as well as an additional and adjacent parking lot. Meters are good for 3 hours of parking.
Do you accept refunds?
No, we do not give refunds or offer transfers as all funds generated from this event go to support those less fortunate.
Do children need to be registered?
Children 5 and under are free on event day. However, our Youth pricing is for anyone ages 6 to 17. All youth must be registered in the race to participate and receive an event t-shirt. Anyone 18 and up must be registered in the Adult Category.
Can I bring my dog to the race?
Yes! Dogs are welcome provided they are on a leash with maximum length of 6 feet. NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES. Owners are responsible for their pet’s actions and for picking up after them. At no time can any event personnel or volunteer be responsible for your pet. Please be courteous and move to the side of the course to tend to your pet.
Can we bring strollers to the race?
Yes! Please be courteous to other participants and move to the side of the course to tend to a child.
Are there medals given at the race?
No, there are not medals provided. This is not a competitive event. There will be incentive items handed out based on individual fundraising totals leading up to the event.
Is there gear storage? What shouldn’t I bring to the event?
There is no storage for this event. Any items left unattended will be confiscated and placed in the Lost & Found. It is recommended that you don’t bring any valuables to the event or bring a small bag that will not affect your walking experience.
Is there a Lost & Found?
Yes, found items will be kept at the Registration tent.
